P**5 Points

Note: This article is hosted here for archival purposes only. It does not necessarily represent the values of the Iron Warrior or Waterloo Engineering Society in the present day.

Throughout frosh week, you will be exposed to not only university life but also engineering culture.  All the traditions, songs, studying and parties are what define us as proud Waterloo engineering students.

P**5 points (pronounced “P to the Fifth” or “P to the Five”) are awarded to individuals/classes that demonstrate true engineering spirit: involvement, solidarity and giving back.  This can include participating in EngSoc events or contests, planning your own class parties, running charity fundraisers, volunteering, showing school spirit and so much more.

At the end of the term, the class that has the greatest number of points gets not only bragging rights, but also a CA$H prize.  More information, including the full list of ways to earn points and details on how to participate, can be found at www.engsoc.uwaterloo.ca/classes/p5

So there you have it. Show us what you’ve got, Frosh. Good Luck!
