The University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team (UWAFT) builds full-sized vehicles which are powered by alternative fuels. In the past we’ve built fuel cell plug-in hybrid vehicles, and this year we’re beginning development of a bio-diesel or ethanol-powered plug-in hybrid. We compete in competitions across North America. Our team has every program imaginable involved in all aspects of the vehicle.
