SCavenger hUNT Fall 2011 – The Battle of Mount Olympus

Note: This article is hosted here for archival purposes only. It does not necessarily represent the values of the Iron Warrior or Waterloo Engineering Society in the present day.

Once a term, twice if you’re lucky enough to be here for Orientation Week, uWaterloo students prepare for one of the biggest competitions on campus – SCavenger hUNT! Hosted by EngSoc, the Scavenger Hunt combines a road trip, design competitions, sports, and much more into a 24-hour campus and city wide event. Other activities may include human chess, full contact calculus, Iron Chef, Twister, Manhunt, capture the flag, impromptu theatre, sword fights, epic voyages, and space/time travel (ok, I made that one up… or did I?).

Information regarding team registration will be available soon – feel free to invite your friends from other classes, faculties and even schools. If you’d like to find out more about Scavenger Hunt, keep your eyes open for posters around campus and the Engineering buildings, registration tables in CPH and the SLC, and www.scunt.ca.

This is an event you won’t want to miss.

Scavenger Hunt Fall 2011 – Clouds are brewing over ancient Greece, and rumour has it the gods are growing increasingly angry with the villagers below. Tired of the constant warring and unrest between Greek city-states, Poseidon, Athena, Aphrodite, and Zeus have decided to hold an epic competition, the likes of which hasn’t been seen since the Olympic games, to decide which village shall be crowned the ultimate ruler of Greece and all its peoples – The Battle of Mount Olympus. Join us September 30th – October 1st, fight for your city, and help decide the very fate of Greece itself.
