My name is Katie Arnold, and I’m running to be the next Vice-President of Operations and Finance for the Waterloo Engineering Society “B”!
I’m in 1B Mechanical Engineering, and I have been involved with the Waterloo Engineering Society ever since my first week at the University of Waterloo. I have held directorships for Novelties, Course Critiques, Canada Day, Educational Outreach, as well as the Engineering Student Societies’ Council of Ontario Directorship for Wonderland Math and Physics Day. I’ve attended several engineering conferences, as both a delegate and volunteer.
As Vice-President of Operations and Finance, my goals include the development of Novelties through new inventory and advertising, facilitating the relocation and expansion of RidgidWare in the new E7 building, raising awareness of the sponsorship opportunities we have available in the Waterloo Engineering Society, making applications for sponsorship easier and clearer, as well as expanding student deals in more directions to areas in which students are interested.
