VP Internal: A Wonderful Winter Ahead!

Note: This article is hosted here for archival purposes only. It does not necessarily represent the values of the Iron Warrior or Waterloo Engineering Society in the present day.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another school term! I’m super excited to be back, and I hope you are as well!

Events: We’ve already kicked off the first few weeks with some awesome events and there are so many more to come. There are so many ways to keep up to date on the upcoming events and services our directors have been working so hard on! You can check out the white board outside of the Orifice (CPH 1327), look out for posters on our boards, join the mailing list or visit engsoc.uwaterloo.ca/events. Remember that coming out to events are a great study break as well as an awesome way to meet people!

Getting Informed: Although I mentioned a whole bunch of ways for you to get informed on what the Engineering Society is up to, we are always looking for ways to improve our communication with the student body. If you have any suggestions on how your class reps or the executives can better inform you on initiatives, events and services, please let us know!

Care Bear Thank Yous: Have you ever wanted to thank someone for helping you on that assignment, or volunteering for an event? The Engineering Society is starting a new Care Bear thank you initiative this term! By signing up the person you want to thank on the bit.ly/EngSocCareBear form, they will be entered into a draw to win some free candy! I just want to note that the responses sent on this form are completely anonymous, and will only be seen by the VP Internal and Student Life Commissioner.

Tickets, Tickets, Tickets: We understand that it is sometimes difficult to make it to the Orifice or CPH Foyer to purchase tickets for some of our events like EngPlay and Semi-Formal. That’s why this term will providing tickets to your class reps to bring the tickets to you!

If you have any questions, or are looking to get involved somehow this term, send me an e-mail at vpinternal.a@engsoc.uwaterloo.ca. I would love to hear from you!
