Hey everyone! My name is Alessia Danelon and I am your incoming President for the Engineering Society B. As you may have read in my platform, I have a lot of new ideas for EngSoc, and I am really excited for the upcoming term, however, before all the business begins, I’d like to tell you all a bit about myself.

I grew up in a very Italian suburb of the GTA called Woodbridge, feel free to tease me about it. I am the oldest of 3 girls, and trust me, you’re not the first one to empathize for my father. I enjoy doing a variety of things in my spare time, but my main interests include music and film. I love curling up on the couch with a good movie and a latte; it’s probably one of my favourite things to do.

Enough about me though, what I’d really like to do is get to know all of you. I am a big fan of feedback, so if you ever have ideas or suggestions for EngSoc, feel free to email them to bsoc_prez@engmail.uwaterloo.ca, or stop by the EngSoc office and have a chat. I’m always excited to see new faces and meet new people, so don’t be shy to come up and talk to me about anything at all, even if you’ve never met me before! One quick note though, I’m not the best with names, so you’ll have to give me a fun fact that goes along with your name to help me remember it when you come to say hello!

Overall, I’m looking forward to a great term, with a great executive team, and of course, great EngSoc members. This society exists because of and for you, don’t ever forget that, and be sure to use it to improve your experience in Waterloo Engineering.
