Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to Become Bi-Lingual

Note: This article is hosted here for archival purposes only. It does not necessarily represent the values of the Iron Warrior or Waterloo Engineering Society in the present day.

The ECE department has been seen in recent times as pretty boring. Most ECE students tend to themselves and just like being alone with their books, not socializing with the outside world. To accelerate this trend and ensure its continuation, the ECE department has decided to become Bi-lingual and accept binary as a second language of the department.

This move shall help students isolate themselves from the outside world as no other department/faculty/university/city/region/province/country/continent/world/solar system/galaxy/universe/alternate reality known to mankind is known to use a machine language as an official language. Students in Environmental Engineering are denouncing the change as a “waste of resources” as every ECE printed material will now become 8 times longer in addition to its regular ASCII english counterpart. The pro-binary movement reminds Environmental Engineering students that it is environment-damaging decisions like these that will ensure Enviro eng students will have relevance in the future. Overall, The Tin Soldier would like to congratulate the ECE department for embracing Waterloo’s new image in being more “risk-taking”.
