The Federations of Students (Feds) is the official voice of undergraduate students attending the University of Waterloo. Feds is run by a team of four elected executives who are elected every year in the Winter term. They are the President and the three Vice Presidents: VP Administration and Finance, VP Internal, and VP Education. The executives are held accountable by an 11 person Board of Directors and a Students’ Council comprised of representatives from each faculty and college at Waterloo. The executives are also supported by a team of dedicated, full-time staff. The Feds office is located on the main floor of the Student Life Centre, room 1102.
David Collins, the current President, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of student government as well as representing undergraduates to the University administration, Senate, and Board of Governors. The President also provides leadership and supervision to the Federation of Students. David can be contacted at pres@feds.ca or @UWFedsPres.
Devin Drury, Feds’ VP Internal, maintains and improves student life programs by supervising Feds services, student services and clubs, by handling accountability of societies, by communicating with colleges and residence councils, and by overseeing projects and commissions. Adam Garcia, Feds’ VP Education, represents students to the University administration and all levels of Government to ensure students’ academic experience is affordable and accessible, and that it maintains a high quality. He also helps the student population with academic and co-op issues. Adam works with the Ontario Undergraduate Student alliance (OUSA) and the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations (CASA) to bring a united student voice to the national and provincial governments. You can visit Adam in the Feds office or contact him at vped@feds.ca or @UWFedsVPed.
