VP Student Life Nominations: Chelsea VanderMeer and Sabrina Huston

Hello engineers, we’re Sabrina and Chelsea, and we are running for your co-Vice Presidents of Student Life! Look at your schedule, now back to us. Sadly, we are not in your schedule. You have too much class and too many assignments! Look down; back up; where are you? You’re still in class because you’re a great student. What’s in your hand? Back at me. We have them, all of the events, outings, activities, socials, charity outreach, free food, and free friends that you love.

Both of us have been directors for several terms and have experience running, planning, and executing fun events for you. Sabrina is also currently Student Life Commissioner and is well-prepared to attack your boredom woes! Chelsea is a super keyholder and attends all POETS events, so she enthusiastically sets up, cleans up, and makes sure that everyone has a great time! We are experienced when tackling details such as booking, budget, and scheduling; so you don’t have to worry about a thang.

For real, having a balance between school and fun is important for everyone. Meeting new people, trying new things, and making friends integrates your engineering experience with energy and creative outlets that improve your academic outlook. We promise to be have a diverse selection of events, such as nights for board games, video games, movies, music, art, Frisbee, laser quest, or even just hanging out… with benefits! Benefits being snacks. And we are going to keep you informed with posters, announcements, Facebook, and MySpace, to make sure you don’t miss out. We are open to all ideas and will fight for you to have more fun than you already do, with other engineers who understand the struggle of eternal class, JobMine and geese.

Anything is possible if we become your Vice-Presidents of Student Life!
